Independence Day 2025
The Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 15th August. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and unity.
The program was graced by the Chief Guest, Group Captain N. Venkatesh (Retd.), who delivered an inspiring address, reminding students of the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle and encouraging them to contribute positively to the nation’s growth. The event was presided over by Dr. S. Mohan (Managing Director) and Shri. Sunil kumar (managing trustee) who also addressed the gathering on the importance of discipline, dedication, and responsibility in shaping the future of the country.
Anti-Ragging Day
The Anti-Ragging Day was observed at AMC College of Pharmacy on 12th August to create awareness among students about the ill effects of ragging and to promote a safe and friendly academic environment.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. S. Mohan ( Managing Director), who emphasized the importance of discipline, mutual respect, and zero tolerance towards ragging in educational institutions.
Hands On Training – 24.07.2025
E-Consortium Program initiated by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU).
This program provides access to a wide range of scholarly journals, research articles, e-books, and reference materials through the university’s digital library portal. It aims to enhance academic and research capabilities for pharmacy education and promote evidence-based learning. Access available to all students and faculty through institutional login. Useful for research, article writing, dissertations, and academic presentations.
International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking
On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, AMC College of Pharmacy organized an awareness program with active participation from the students. The event highlighted the importance of creating a drug-free society and empowering youth through education and engagement.
Students from B.Pharm 1st Year enthusiastically participated in the event by performing a thought-provoking drama and presenting an impactful short film focusing on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of making positive life choices.
International Yoga Day
On the theme of Yoga for one earth, one health with enthusiastic and active participation from students and staff. A practical yoga session is being held to promote physical and mental well-being, encouraging a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice, Followed by a practical yoga session led by experienced instructors.
Dr S MOHAN and Participants engaged in various yoga postures, breathing exercises and short meditation practices that focused on holistic health and well-being.
World Blood Donor Day
AMC College of pharmacy celebrated World Blood Donor Day on 14th June, a day globally recognized to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
The event was organized with the active participation of our students, who contributed meaningfully through inspiring speeches and informative presentations. The programme aimed to educate attendees about the importance of blood donation, its impact on saving lives, and the role of youth in promoting a culture of voluntary donation.
World Environment Day
World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5, 2025, with great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental conservation. The global theme for this year was "Beat Plastic Pollution," emphasizing the urgent need to reduce plastic use and promote sustainable alternatives.
To mark the occasion, a plantation drive was conducted within the campus/local community. Students, staff, and volunteers actively participated by planting a variety of saplings, including native and medicinal plants.
National Pharmacy Week Celebration 2024
AMC College of Pharmacy has celebrated 63rd National pharmacy week celebration on the theme of think health think pharmacy is typically a week-long celebration aimed at recognizing and honoring the role of pharmacists in healthcare. The event involves a variety of activities such as educational sessions, Essay competition, drawing and sketching, poster presentation, elocution discussions. Students, faculty, and staff come together to highlight the importance of pharmacy in promoting health and well-being.
On February 15, 2025, National Pharmacy Week (NPW) with a cultural event that honored the esteemed chief guest, Sri . S. GURUBHARATHI, M.Pharm., Assistant director of Drugs control. A Guest of honor Mr. G PRAKASH ( DRUG INSPECTOR) The event likely featured a blend of cultural performances, such as music, dance, and drama, showcasing the talents of the students and providing an engaging atmosphere for the college community.
Orientation Program - 22.11.2024
The orientation program at AMC College of Pharmacy was designed to familiarize B.pharm 2024 students with the academic environment, facilities, and professional opportunities available at the institution. It also aimed to motivate students by emphasizing the crucial role of pharmacy in healthcare and to cultivate a sense of community and belonging within the college.
